What Other People May Think of Me

Sometimes people do not like me. That’s not necessarily my stuff either.

Where is the line between planting a seed and standing face to face with reality? As my clients learn, we are not in control of others, what they do, how they feel, even what they say. We are not in control of their interpretations of who we are..........

Say that again-----we are not in control of their interpretations of who we are.

Yet so many times day in and day out we allow the interpretation of someone else to determine how we feel, whether we feel worthy enough, or where we are valuable.

Maybe the seed we can plant is not about some arbitrary political event, health issue, or culture concept but instead about who we really are.

In my grief group we have processed how sometimes people can treat us like we are broken because of events that have happened to us or losses we have faced. You do not have to allow someone else to determine any of this.

You are not broken!!! Please scream this from the rooftops. You may be sad. You may be scared. You may be mad or disappointed or even heartbroken. None of that limits your worth or means you are less of a beautiful, brilliant human being who this world is lucky to have. Share this with whoever you think needs to hear this today.
